| Yummy, slow-cooker chicken tacos! (image via Pinterest) |
After getting hit with a bad snowstorm this past weekend, I was cooped up in my apartment with nothing to do. So, I opened up Pinterest and browsed through the recipes pins that I had never even considered actually trying. This sparked the thought: 'what good are these pins, if you never consider bringing them to life?'
Pinterest is as an amazing device to trying new things such as, recipes, fashions, DIY projects and new looks for your home. If you haven't tried actually using any of your pins, take a day and put one to the test.
Start with an easy recipe that requires ingredients you already have, or a DIY project that won't take too much effort and make you extremely frustrated.
This past weekend, I made chicken tacos for lunch and stuffed peppers for dinner, both in my slow-cooker. They were both easy, delicious and boyfriend-friendly. The great part about these recipes, was that I already had all the ingredients and now I have two new recipes that I can introduce to my family and friends when they come over for dinner.
In the downtime between cooking, I looked at different outfits on my Pinterest boards, and realized a lot of the clothing items I already own, but never considered putting them together. I got a lot of ideas, which ultimately (I hope!) will prevent me from buying new clothes I don't need.
All in all, Pinterest helps bring out the creative side in you, so make sure to take advantage of it. Don't let all those hours it took you to pin those items, go to waste!
